‘Station 19’: Season 5 Release Date, What To Expect

ABC’s Station 19 is a popular series for the network. It’s probable that the series’ popularity stems from the fact that it is a Grey’s Anatomy spin-0ff. This series follows firefighters at Seattle Fire Department’s Station 19. Keep reading to find out more about Station 19. 

Season 5 Station 19: What To Expect

Station 19 is a four-year-old series that seems to be well received by Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice fans. The renewal order Season 5 came on November 12, 2020, according to Meaww. Now, Station 19 Season 5 is set to release in May 2021. Filming for this season just started last month (August) and will continue through April 2022.

From the looks of Twitter, filming is going really well. Just last week (September 10), the official Station 19 Twitter shares a behind-the-scenes image. In the responding tweets, fans are definitely all about Captain Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe).

When it comes to spoilers, the official synopsis doesn’t give much away. It reads as follows.

Following a deadly blaze inside a coffee beanery, the members of Station 19 find themselves on high alert as one of their team lands at Grey Sloan, leaving the future uncertain in the face of a life-threatening situation. The crew battles a storage facility fire with growing complications”

Unfortunately, there isn’t a trailer for Season 5 of Station 19 at the moment. However, ET Online gives an exclusive look into the new season. In their exclusive, one of the actors, Carlos Miranda explains some of the complexities of upcoming storylines. Without giving too much away, some of the tension stems from the fact that Sullivan decides to advocate for a promotion for himself.

Season 5 Release Date

However, there’s sure to be plenty of action from the men and women of Station 19. With Shonda Rhimes and Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) as producers, how could there not be suspense? Notably, Ellen Pompeo isn’t the only familiar person from Grey’s with this series. Viewers will be happy to know that Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey) and Jason George (Dr. Ben Warren) are a part of the spin-off too.
