Josh Duggar Claims He’s Innocent & Not A Flight Risk, Wants Out On Bail
Josh Duggar, a former TLC star, is arguing that he should get out on bail. He was arrested on Thursday for the possession of child sexual abuse content. Then, on Friday, he appeared in court and has been ordered to stay away from minors due to the nature of his arrest.
Since his arrest, his family and TLC have been speaking out. His family has shared neutral statements about praying for Anna Duggar and their six children. TLC claims that Josh hasn’t been on the network for years. Anna is supposedly staying by her husband’s side through all of this, despite the potential danger their kids could be in if the allegations against Josh are true. Other than that, she has stayed quiet.

Josh Duggar thinks he should be let out of jail on bail
Now, Josh apparently has something to say. According to the court documents obtained by TMZ, Josh is continuing to say that he “has no criminal convictions, and has known about this federal criminal investigation since November 2019 when Homeland Security Investigations executed a search of Duggar’s prior workplace.” Additionally, he claims that he has kept an open dialogue with the U.S. Attorney’s Office regarding this large probe.
He also says he’s willing to comply with the bail conditions set and that he will appear in court as this case continues. He believes that he should be let out of jail so he can care for his pregnant wife. Anna and Josh announced that they are expecting their seventh child this fall. That news came less than a week prior to Josh turning himself into the authorities. If Josh is let out on bail, he doesn’t necessarily have anywhere to go since all of his relatives have young children.
The former TLC star believes that he isn’t a flight risk due to his recognizable face. Specifically, he says he “has a widely-recognizable face and has spent the majority of his life in the public spotlight — making any concern that he is a risk of flight all the more unwarranted.”
Josh will be back in court on May 5 and again in July. So, more details on the case will become available soon.
