Judge Orders Josh Duggar Stay Away From Minors, Court Details
On Thursday, many people began wondering why Josh Duggar was arrested by the feds. At the time of his arrest, few details were known. There is plenty of speculation about his arrest and why it happened. Some people believe that the Duggar family was aware of the arrest before it happened. Some even think that TLC knew about it and that could be why the network didn’t renew Counting On. On Friday morning, Josh Duggar went to court.
The news of his arrest comes just days after Josh and Anna Duggar announced they are expecting their seventh child together. Now, depending on how this case unfolds, she may be left to raise the kids on her own.

Josh Duggar court details revealed
The official statement from the United States Attorney’s Office reads:
“A Springdale man was arrested yesterday for receiving and possessing material depicting the sexual abuse of children. According to court documents, Joshua James Duggar, 33, allegedly used the internet to download child sexual abuse material. Duggar allegedly possessed this material, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, in May 2019. Duggar is charged by indictment with receiving and possessing child pornography. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years of imprisonment and fines up to $250,000 on each count.”
Josh pleaded not guilty and declined to have his charges read in court.

According to Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball, who had access to a courtroom live stream, Josh has a detention hearing on May 5. He also has a pretrial hearing in May. His official court hearing is July 6, 2021.
Judge Erin Wiedemann said, “Given the nature of the charges against him the court would likely require a third-party custodian that could live with him and would ensure compliance with the conditions of bond.” If a bond is granted, he will have to live with someone who “has no minors living in the home.” This means that he won’t be able to live with Anna and their six children.
