TLC is opening up about the recent arrest and charges for Josh Duggar. Read their statement and find out what this could mean for the Duggar family.

Since the news of Josh’s arrest and charges broke, most of the family has remained silent. Now, they are slowly starting to release statements. You can read Jill and Derick’s statement here. Michelle and Jim Bob also made a statement. On Friday afternoon, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo condemned Josh’s actions.

In an exclusive statement to Us, TLC spoke out about Josh Duggar’s current allegations. The network states, “TLC is saddened to learn about the continued troubles involving Josh Duggar. 19 Kids and Counting has not aired since 2015. TLC canceled the show on the heels of prior allegations against Josh Duggar and he has not appeared on air since then.”

Could this be the end of the Duggar family’s time on TLC?

At this point, Counting On hasn’t been renewed for another season. It’s unclear how the new details about Josh’s allegations will affect the family’s appearance on TLC. It’s possible that this will be the end of the family’s show, but we won’t know for sure until an official statement is made by the network. Some critics have thought that the show may not have been renewed due to Josh’s “troubles” going on behind the scenes. If the Duggar family or TLC was aware of the upcoming arrest before it happened, the network may have opted out of renewing the show.

As TLC mentions, 19 Kids & Counting ended in 2015 with Josh’s molestation scandal. Then, shortly after, the family’s show Counting On started airing on the network instead. While this show was meant to focus on the family following Josh’s scandal, Anna, Jim Bob, and Michelle have all been a part of it. So, it’s not as if Josh and his family have been completely erased from the network.

Since 19 Kids & Counting was canceled amid a different scandal, the same could be true this time, but since Josh isn’t on the show, it could be different. TLC may be okay with associating with the Duggars as long as Josh isn’t a part of it.

So, what do you think of TLC’s recent statement about Josh Duggar? Do you think this means the family’s show will be over for good? Let us know in the comments below.
