Why Did Adam & Danielle Busby Remodel Their Home In A Pandemic?
Adam and Danielle Busby decided to renovate their home, as fans have seen on TLC’s OutDaughtered. Of course, this was a bit of a challenge, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the most recent episode of the family’s show, they run into an unexpected renovation issue.
With the pandemic going on, it’s no surprise that the renovations were hard to deal with. The family was at home while the house was being worked on because the girls weren’t in school. Plus, there was just a lot going on throughout the pandemic. Some fans think that the family is brave for taking on such a major project during an uncertain time.
Adam and Danielle Busby share why they didn’t wait
In a recent interview with Good Morning America, the Busby family talked about the coronavirus pandemic, the bad weather in Texas, and their home renovations. During the interview, they were asked why they decided to renovate their home amid the pandemic.
Adam explains, “It was one of those things whenever we bought this house we had already had it planned, and you know, in those early stages of the pandemic, you didn’t really know how the year was going to pan out.”
Then, he adds, “Our whole goal was to finish the renovation before the kids started kindergarten.” He says that the pandemic made things “extremely interesting.”
So, it sounds like the family might’ve gone a different direction had they known the severity of the pandemic, but they seem to be happy living in their newly renovated home.
See sneak peeks of the renovation process
Throughout the home renovation process, the couple shared sneak peeks on social media. From their social media pages, it looks like even the girls wanted to pitch in and help. In one snap, Riley is holding a hammer and wearing a hard hat on demolition day. In the interview, they share that Riley loved taking out the cabinets.
Another photo features the newly renovated mudroom. There are gorgeous blue floral tile and white shiplap walls. The girls seem to be enjoying the mudroom too.
In one photo, the entire family is pitching in to help out with some of the cleaning and remodeling. Danielle calls them her “little helpers,” as Blayke vacuums.
