Jinger Vuolo Asks An Important Question

On the couple’s Hope We Hold Instagram page, they asked a question while enjoying their fortune cookies after a meal. In the caption, they write, “If you don’t like the fortune, don’t eat the cookie?😉 Which way is right … reading the fortune and then eating the cookie or vise versa?”

Along with the question, they shared two snaps of themselves. In one, Jinger is holding her fortune and her cookie. Meanwhile, in the next slide, Jeremy is enjoying his cookie while holding his fortune up to the camera. It looks like Jinger likes to eat the fortune cookie after reading the fortune. On the other hand, her husband eats the cookie and then reads the fortune, it seems.

Jinger’s fortune says, “Among the lucky, you are the chosen one.”

Jeremy’s fortune reads, “Your efforts will be worthwhile.”

Counting On Fans Divided On Proper Etiquette

In the comments section of the post, fans are weighing in on the question. They seem to be divided, though. Some think the cookie should be eaten first, while others think you’re supposed to read the fortune first. Others disagree with Jeremy and Jinger’s caption about not eating the cookie if you don’t like the fortune, saying that you should always eat the cookie no matter what.

In one comment, a fan shares their thoughts on fortune cookies and Christianity, writing, “I am very surprised as most Christians believe only God knows the future not something in a fortune cookie……. Surprising!!” However, many other fans are chiming in to say that fortune cookies are purely for fun and that nobody actually believes their fortunes. Jinger and Jeremy certainly don’t seem to be bothered by this.

So, what do you think is the correct way to eat a fortune cookie? Do you agree with Jinger Vuolo? Let us know in the comments section below.
