’Counting On’: Jim Bob Reminds Fans Duggar Men Don’t Need Consent
Former 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On star Jim Bob Duggar has done something without consent, and now he’s under fire. However, consent hasn’t necessarily been a big priority for the Duggars, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone too much. Fans and critics don’t think that the men in the family care about consent and that they believe they can simply do whatever they want.
For example, Josh Duggar is in the midst of a legal case after allegedly possessing child pornography. Despite the severity of these charges, his wife, Anna is not allowed to get a divorce due to their religion.
Michelle Duggar, Jim Bob’s wife, also offered some intimacy tips. The mom to 19 wrote on the family’s blog, “And so be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie, I am here for you,’ no matter what, even though you may be exhausted and big pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need because I know it’s a need for you.’ ”
Based on that suggestion, it sounds like the Duggar men don’t need consent to be intimate with their wives. So, what does Jim Bob have to say about consent these days?

As fans and critics know, Jim Bob is currently running for a spot in the Arkansas state senate. The former TLC star announced his run amid his son Josh’s child pornography scandal. Now, he’s taking his campaign to the next level.
On Facebook, a local business in Arkansas posted a photo of one of Jim Bob’s campaign signs. The business owner wrote, “Why do we continue to let goofies run for office in our states and government! Like no Jim Bob you can not have ya signs at my business!”
Duggar Snarks React To Jim Bob’s Lack Of Consent
On Reddit, Duggar family critics are discussing the Facebook post. One user writes, “Not surprised bc he’s such a wanker and thinks he can do whatever he wants. Kinda like his POS oldest son.”
Someone else writes, “a duggar man did something without consent? I’m shocked.” Another user replies, “Beat me to it. I was gonna say consent has never been important in this family.”
