‘1000-Lb. Sisters’: Why Did Tammy Slaton & Jerry Sykes Break Up?
1000-Lb. Sisters Season 2 came to an end with fans learning Tammy Slaton and Jerry Sykes broke up. But, the Season Finale did NOT include any of the details. As 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 premieres tonight, one big question fans have is simple: why did Jerry and Tammy break up? What happened to end this relationship? Fortunately, Tammy does sit down with a producer and explains what happened to her relationship with Jerry.

Why did Tammy Slaton and Jerry Sykes break up?
Tammy Slaton gets candid about the end of her relationship with Jerry Sykes during the 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 Premiere. The producer sits down with Tammy and asks questions about how the relationship ended and what happened.
Tammy Slaton explains that she got out of the relationship. She was single and now was the time for her to start working on herself. The way Tammy said it, the producer assumed this meant it was Tammy who ended things with Jerry. Tammy Slaton, however, quickly clarifies that it was actually Jerry Sykes that left her. She noted that he broke things off with her.
The producer continued to ask why they broke up. Tammy explained she and Jerry Sykes just wanted different things in life. More specifically, she wanted things he was not willing to give her. She wanted a forever relationship with a promise ring. And, technically, Jerry was still married to someone else.
Did he ever really even like her?
1000-Lb. Sisters fans aren’t broken up about the end of this relationship. For the most part, fans suspected Jerry Sykes was a clout chaser and Tammy Slaton was his prey. This suspicion grew when fans learned Jerry had also dated someone who appeared on both My 600-Lb. Life and MTV’s Catfish.
Moreover, Jerry Sykes admitted to random women on Facebook that he regretted coming on the show for Season 2. But, he wanted the paycheck. He, however, argued that he didn’t think they paid him enough.
As we’ve previously reported, Jerry Sykes was not liked by fans. They criticized his treatment of Tammy and thought he was a bad fit for her. So, fans rejoice that he seems to be out of the picture for good.
Tammy Slaton did admit to having a weak moment where she briefly reached out to Jerry. But, for the most part, she hasn’t had any contact with him.
