Savannah Chrisley overcomes endometriosis weight gain struggle
TV Shows Ace previously reports on Savannah Chrisley’s endometriosis diagnosis. The Sassy by Savannah creator takes to her Instagram in late 2020 to let fans know about her diagnosis. At the time, she had already been struggling with the condition for nearly 5 years.
Savannah captions the post with the following explanation:
VULNERABLE MOMENT FOR MY LADIES: I haven’t talked about this much because honestly…I have struggled BIG TIME. I’m insanely self conscious and just feel like my body has given up on me. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 18 and it’s been quite the struggle. The pain at times is unbearable and the toll it takes on my emotional/psychological health is pretty rough at times.”
Savannah’s outlook on food and fitness
Now, Life and Style Magazine is reporting on how Savannah Chrisley overcame the weight gain associated with endometriosis. The Growing Up Chrisley star previously explains to the outlet how she gained weight. “I was on a medication and the highest dose possible for six months, and I gained about 30 pounds within the six months,” shares Savannah.
In order to combat the weight gain, Savannah shares that she would “work out like crazy” and “try to eat right.” Unfortunately, those efforts didn’t help with the weight gain. The former beauty queen shares her frustration. She says, “There was nothing I could do to control it. ”
With the help of the South Beach Diet and regular exercise, Savannah Chrisley has lost 20 pounds and gained about 10 pounds in muscle. However, the Atlanta native seems to understand and accept the fact that weight fluctuates. “My weight fluctuates and that’s just called being a woman and loving food,” says Savannah.
While endometriosis can cause fertility issues, it seems like Savannah has a plan. She says, “If I’m feeding my body great food, then my mood and life will thrive. I want to be healthy for my family and my future children.”
