Jessa Seewald Shares Baby Fern’s One-Month Update: See Video
Former Counting On stars Ben and Jessa Seewald welcomed their fourth baby to the world last month. Baby Fern Elliana joins three older siblings, Spurgeon, 5, Henry, 4, and Ivy, 2.
Jessa documented Fern’s birth via a series of YouTube videos. Fans may know that TLC canceled Counting On as a result of Josh Duggar’s arrest. So, there is no birth special airing on TLC. But Jessa wanted to make sure fans could be a part of her baby girl’s arrival, so she uploaded the video in three parts, including the labor, delivery, and the kids meeting their new sibling.
Since her arrival, Ben and Jessa have shared a couple of updates on social media. But they have been a little quieter than usual, likely because they are adjusting to parenthood with four little ones.

Now, Jessa has returned to social media to share an update about her baby girl. In her caption, Jessa writes, “Fern turned 1 month old today, and over the past week we’ve seen those adorable social skills blossoming! She loves to make eye contact and smile responsively when you talk to her! It’s the sweetest thing! 🤍🤍🤍”
In addition to writing what her baby is up to, Jessa shared a video of Ben cradling his daughter and making her smile. Fern is wrapped in a pink swaddle as her dad rocks her and talks sweetly to her. She responds by giving him an adorable, tiny smile.
Of course, fans are obsessed with this new update from Jessa and can’t believe how cute little Fern is. They think the baby girl looks a lot like her older siblings, but they especially think she looks like Ben.
One fan writes, “This is the most wholesome thing ever! Such a daddy’s girl already! And I bet she has him wrapped around her tiny finger! Love this for you and your family ❤️”
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates Stewart commented a few hearts on Jessa’s video, while Josie Bates Balka called the video “So precious.” Plenty of other fans agree with the sentiment.
