What Is Hallmark’s Sweet Pecan Summer About?
Hallmark’s Sweet Pecan Summer is part of Summer Nights. What is it about? According to the Hallmark press release, Amanda (Ko) works in product development at a large cosmetics company.
She is currently at a crossroads. On one hand, she loves her job. However, the company is not open to her new ideas. She feels stuck because they are not willing to evolve. Instead, they are stuck with their standard flagship products. She doesn’t know what to do next but knows she must pivot.
At around this same time, Amanda’s favorite aunt, Carol (Tom) calls to share some exciting news. Her aunt has life-altering news She met a man! Now, Aunt Carol is going to move away, to be closer to him.
This means that Aunt Carol is about to sell her pecan farm. This brings a rush of memories to Amanda. Amanda decides to visit her aunt and help her prepare to sell. However, her happily-in-love aunt wants her niece to enjoy the same sort of glow. Aunt Carol has now decided to become a bit of a matchmaker.
Her aunt hires J.P. (Brown), Amanda’s ex-boyfriend from school, as the real estate broker. J.P. is going through his own career crossroads. An injury derailed his professional baseball career. Now, he is in real estate until he finds something more suitable.
Now, Amanda and J.P. are stuck together. The two cannot agree on anything. But, that animosity seems to fan the sparks of love. The longer the two work together, the more they find in common.
