‘MBFFL’ Fans STUNNED By Whitney’s New Man, Accuse Her Of ‘Hiring’ Boyfriends
Whitney Way Thore is on a ‘sabbatical’ in France. However, as fans suspected, she’s visiting her rumored new French boyfriend. In a surprising post to her Instagram, the MBFFL confirmed the rumors. She unveiled her new man… sort of. But some fans called shenanigans on the timing of the big reveal – mere weeks before the new season kicks off.
Reality Star Takes Summer ‘Sabbatical’ Overseas
Many people were forced to cancel their travel plans for most of 2020. Perhaps to make up for missing out on an earlier vacation, Whitney Way Thore went big for her 2021 summer trip.
The NoBSActive founder took some of her best gal pals to spend some of the summer in France. She took to her Instagram to dub the trip her “summer sabbatical.” The trip came shortly after fans reacted harshly to the reality star’s new lip fillers, as seen in the photo below.
Whitney Way Thore Goes Instagram Officialish With New Beau
Bloggers suspected there was another reason for Whitney’s visit to France. Last month TLC finally released an overview of Season 9 of MBFFL. It revealed that viewers will see Whitney Way Thore start a new online romance with a man living in France. The French native and Whitney struggle with a long-distance relationship.
However, all signs indicate that they are making it work. On July 21, Whitney Way Thore shared a series of snapshots to her Instagram feed. The photos include her new French beau. Sort of. As she explains in the caption, her new man likes his privacy.
As a compromise, the MBFFL star shaded out her suitor’s face. From what is visible, he appears to be a slim man in good physical shape.
Fans Accuse Her of ‘Hiring’ Boyfriends For MBFFL
Many of Whitney Way Thore’s Instagram followers flooded the comments with congratulations and well wishes. However, a comment from one follower led to a discussion about a long-held fan belief that the TLC show is overly scripted.
The fan asked Whitney if she “hires these guys” to improve MBFFL ratings. While the accusation got pushback from many of Whitney’s fans, at least one follower came to the defense of the person who wrote the original comment.
The defender wrote, “there was some sketchy stuff with [Chase] that I read making me think was this just a ratings scam? Now this pic, won’t show his face and a plug for the new season? I don’t know if I buy this.”
As viewers know, Whitney Way Thore got engaged to Chase Severino during the Season 7 finale. However, Season 8 heavily featured their eventual break-up amid Chase cheating and getting another woman pregnant.
Throughout Season 8, fans of the show slammed it as too scripted, especially the socially-distanced confrontation between Chase and Whitney.
Many MBFFL fans left comments hoping to see Whitney’s new man on Season 9. However, other fans doubt that the French beau will appear on camera.
