Former 19 Kids & Counting star Josh Duggar had a bond hearing on Wednesday, and it was determined whether he will get out on bail. Now, the hearing has wrapped up. What do we know about the hearing and whether Josh will be released?
The former TLC star was arrested last Thursday for the possession of child pornographic content. On Friday, he pleaded not guilty. He claims that he’s innocent and should be released to care for his pregnant wife, who’s expecting their seventh child this fall. Now, a decision has been made about whether his bail should be granted.
Was Josh Duggar’s bail granted?
On Wednesday afternoon, Garrett Fergeson revealed that the “federal judge says Josh Duggar ok’d for release under strict guidelines, will wear GPS monitor – BAIL GRANTED.” Josh will be released on Thursday.
@DuggarBates_Confessions attended the Zoom hearing and shared some of the conditions on which Josh has been released. He will be unable to leave the house where he will be staying. He’s staying with a third party, not his family, and cannot leave the house. He’s under strict guidelines.
Josh’s trial is in July, so he will be staying with a pastor and his wife until then. He must abide by these conditions, or he will go to jail and be fined. In July, we will officially know what his sentencing is.

Shocking details revealed during hearing
During the hearing, more details came out about the child porn charges. Special Agent Gerald Faulkner from Homeland Security revealed just how bad some of the content was, claiming that it was some of the worst he’s ever seen. There were 200 images of naked, abused children on Josh’s devices, which were investigated at the car lot he owned. Some of the photos were of children as young as 18 months old.
During the hearing, Josh’s attorney claimed that the molestation scandal that took place years ago is not relevant, but the judge said it would be taken into consideration. So, this could play a role in his sentencing later on. The judge is aware of his history, it seems.
