‘Bringing Up Bates’: Alyssa Bates And John Webster Expecting Baby No. 4
The Bringing Up Bates family is growing! John Webster and Alyssa Bates are expecting their fourth baby. The couple currently has three daughters, Zoey Joy, 2, Lexi Mae, 3½, and Allie Jane, 5. The baby is due Feb. 17, 2021.
Both John and Alyssa shared the exciting news on their respective Instagram posts. Alyssa excitedly writes, “We’re so excited to add one more little one to our family. After having so many health scares last year and wondering if we would be able to have more children God gave us a little surprise blessing. One we are grateful for each and every day!”
The family had a little photo shoot to get several pictures to use for the announcement. In John’s post, their three daughters are sitting in chairs in a field. Allie is holding a sign that reads, “No clue what to expect, but we’re expecting!” Zoey and Lexi are holding ultrasound photos.
In Alyssa Bates’ post, she shared two photos. The first one is a family photo that features John and Alyssa holding a onesie that reads, “Coming soon.” Their three daughters are sitting in chairs and there’s a fourth empty chair beside them. In the second picture, Alyssa and John are hugging and showing off the sonogram photo.

The Bringing Up Bates couple spoke with PEOPLE, sharing their guesses for the baby’s gender. They said, “Mommy votes girl and Daddy votes boy … we will soon see which it will be. Either way we are happy and very thankful! We can’t wait to be a family of six!”

In response to the exciting news, Bates family fans are sending their best wishes. There are many happy fans in the comments sections of Alyssa’s and John’s posts. Some fans are already making their predictions on whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Alyssa’s sister Carlin Stewart commented, “I’m obsessed 😍 Congratulations!!!! 🎉”

In both of their posts, John and Alyssa mention her health. John wrote, “After such a tough year of health issues God has been so faithful to us through it all! We are beyond blessed and undeserving of Gods goodness!”

Alyssa Bates has had several operations to help with her heart issues. She was diagnosed with superventricular tachycardia (SVT). But, according to the couple, Alyssa’s surgeries have been successful and her heart is healing well. The couple was definitely concerned for a little while, but they are grateful that Alyssa is healthy now.
