My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans upset, but not surprised about the split
TV Shows Ace reported about the breakup reveal this week. Now fans know that her ex-fiance, Chase Whitney is expecting a baby with a former fling. Critics don’t buy that he and Whitney were really serious. After all, we noted he seemed totally excited on Instagram about his baby. But, fans saw in the last season, that he didn’t want children with Whitney. Many critics felt that their storyline was faked by TLC. But interest peaks at an all-time high as people hope for a real-deal truth reveal by Whitney. Possibly, TLC just got everything they ever needed for a new season.
Fans seem split over whether they should feel sorry for the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, or not. Those who hoped Whitney nearly landed herself a husband, feel very sad for her. Meanwhile, others believe the whole engagement and expected wedding simply gave TLC a reason to renew the show. Although rumors that Chase impregnated another woman roamed around social media for ages, how far back did Whitney know a wedding wouldn’t happen? It’s a valid question. Notably, Whitney never updated her wedding details on The Knot. And, some fans feel that’s out of character.

When Whitney listed her wedding on The Knot, it said the scheduled date was October 31. Notably, it also said, “161 days to go.” Nothing else ever got an update. And that makes fans extremely suspicious. Over on Reddit, one rather sharp contributor noted that it’s very out of character. @americaninparis1976 wrote: “Their wedding registry on the knot dot com has never been updated. You know if Whitney were truly engaged, she’d be wedding planning and registering like a fiend by now, with less than 6 months from the wedding date-October 31, 2020.”
My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney had five full months to update something: even a photo that didn’t show Chase with his head cut off might have sufficed. However, no evidence she ever updated anything at all shows on The Knot. And, the Registry Page, nothing shows either. Meanwhile, other critics wonder if Whitney ever seriously planned to marry Chase, After all, even if Chase genuinely wanted a relationship, surely he has grounds to break it off? Recall that Whitney and Buddy got particularly handsy behind closed doors.
