Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth give their fans a home tour

Joy-Anna and Austin recently moved from a camper to a house. So, now that the place is coming together, they decided to show it off. The couple filmed a YouTube video to share their home with their followers. Joy-Anna adds that they still have a few projects to work on, but it’s pretty close to being done.

Duggar fans really like the couple’s new home. They think it’s a great size for them for the next few years. They also love the decor and how homey it looks.

Duggar fans notice there’s no TV

Several fans were quick to notice that there’s no TV in Joy-Anna and Austin’s home. The tour takes their followers through every part of the home, so there’s no way they could have missed it. One viewer commented on the YouTube video and said, “Such a cute little house. I didn’t see any TVs. Do you have any or do you watch TV??”

Several other fans pointed this out. It seems odd to them as most Americans have a TV and use it regularly. Plus, Joy-Anna’s family had a couple of TV shows. Fans think that the family would’ve watched their own shows. But, Jill Dillard previously shared that her family didn’t watch their own show while they were growing up.

Does the Duggar family watch TV?

Joy-Anna has yet to respond to the questions. But, there’s no TV in the home during the home tour. The family also moved into their new home fairly recently. So, maybe they’re adding a TV later on.

Jill also doesn’t have a TV. The other family members don’t seem to be big on watching TV either. But, Jinger Vuolo did share that she was watching TV in her new home in Los Angeles, California.

In 2011, in an interview with Huffington Post, Jim Bob Duggar talked about TV and said, “I grew up watching TV, but when we got married a doctor friend of ours encouraged us not to have a pet or a TV the first year of marriage. So we did that. For the first year we lived on love.”

Then, he continued, “And after that someone gave us a TV and for the first three weeks we were both glued to it. Communications dropped off, we weren’t talking as much, and we couldn’t believe the content on TV we didn’t think was appropriate. This is detrimental to our marriage. We prayed about it and felt we had to pull it out of our house, which we did. And I would say that is one of the best things we have done for our family.”

So, maybe the kids are listening to their father’s wisdom and using it in their own lives. It’s unclear exactly why some of them don’t have TVs.

Do you think Joy-Anna is following in her parents’ footsteps? Or, do you think she and Austin will get a TV later on? Share your thoughts below.
