As TV Shows Ace reported in October, Maddie Brown Brush opened up about her daughter Evie’s diagnosis. The Sister Wives star was hesitant to share the diagnosis. This was due to the bullying she was afraid her daughter would endure. But, it turns out that Maddie’s social media community was very supportive. At the time, Maddie wrote, “Caleb and I found out our precious little girl was missing more than just one finger. She was missing three fingers, a toe and her fibula. She also had a bowed tibia, a shortened forearm and some fusing in her fingers. It was at this point, the doctors diagnosed her with FATCO syndrome.”
Now, they are enjoying watching Evie grow up, hit milestones, and more. Evie seems to be doing very well. Over the weekend, Maddie got very candid about her daughter’s diagnosis and what that meant for her when she found. She said she had a very hard time dealing with the news during an ultrasound. Then, she changed her perspective and became grateful for her daughter’s health, even though she has disabilities.

Miss Evie K 💛. She is a little under 8 months old. She can roll over, pull to stand and is always on the go! She LOVES Axel and tends to gravitate towards whatever object he has in his hands. Evie is our smiley girl and has a belly laugh unlike any other. She also has some baby blues that catch a lot of people off guard. These are the things that make Evie Evie. . . I frequently get asked if Evie will walk, if she will need surgery and where the FATCO came from. 1. Evie will walk, it will just look a little different. 2. She will need surgery when the time comes. Her left leg is 1/3 shorter than her right. 3. FATCO syndrome is a generic anomaly. There is no known cause. . . #limbdifferencepride #limbdifferenceawareness #luckyfinsquad #luckyfinsrock #tensfingersareoverrated #olygodactyly #syndactyly #FATCO #FATCOmom #bornjustright #missEvieK #mysunshine #myheart #momlife #advocatelikeamother
