As TV Shows Ace reported Wednesday, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are expecting a baby! This exciting news comes after they lost a baby at 20 weeks gestation in summer 2019. This was a heartbreaking loss for the entire family. But, things are looking up for them. Now, the couple is expecting a baby girl, and she’s due to arrive in August. The couple currently has a two-year-old son, Gideon.

To share the news with Duggar fans, Joy and Austin posted a picture of themselves with Gideon. In the picture, Joy’s wearing a tight pink shirt so her growing baby bump is visible. They revealed that Joy is expecting again and said, “Ahhh!!!🥰👏🏼 It’s been quite the crazy journey these last few months, but we are so thankful that mom and baby are healthy!” The couple’s social media followers are very happy for the couple and left lots of nice comments on the post.

In addition to posting a picture on Instagram, the couple made a YouTube video about the pregnancy so far. Joy-Anna Duggar talks about pregnancy concerns

In her YouTube video with her husband, Joy talks about the beginning of her pregnancy. She says, “Soon after we found out we were pregnant, I started spotting quite a bit. So I called the doctor, went in and got blood work done. He basically said some of my numbers were looking a little bit off. My HCG levels were really high, and he said there were just some concerns. He said that there is a chance this may be a molar pregnancy.”

Duggar fans know this must have been heartbreaking for Joy and Austin to hear. They had waited to conceive after the loss. Joy has previously shared that it’s been difficult for her to work through the loss she experienced last summer. So, this conversation with her doctor was hard for her to handle. She explains that she was fearful about the possibility of a molar pregnancy, but she wanted to be excited about her pregnancy too.

Then, Joy continues, “At that time, I really didn’t know what that was. Basically, you’re pregnant but it’s not a viable pregnancy. It’s not gonna last past 10 or 12 weeks.”

Later in the video, the Duggar daughter and her husband are in the car when the doctor calls. After the call, Joy talks about what the doctor said, saying, “They said so far everything looks great and the baby looks healthy. We’re having a girl, and I cannot believe it. I just started crying. I don’t even know what to say. … Super, excited nervous and tankful all at the same time, but God is good.”

Austin adds, “Such a relief. … Like, a huge load lifted off our shoulders.”

Even though they had that scare, it seems that everything is going smoothly now. Duggar fans are hopeful that the rest of Joy’s pregnancy will be normal and that everything goes well for them.
