Parker Schnabel and his adventurous team will return to Discovery with Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail Season 4. This time, Parker is gold mining in Australia. He and his revamped team are traveling all over, looking for some profitable nuggets. What do we know about the new season?
Parker’s Trail In Australia
Gold Rush fans are asking whether Parker’s Trail will be back. This is Parker Schnabel’s part travelogue, part gold mining adventure. The show will be back, although Discovery has yet to announce the premiere date. Thanks to Instagram, we know that Parker went Down Under, to mine all Over Australia.
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Parker wanted to search for gold somewhere new. He has already been to Alaska and Guyana. He currently mines in the Yukon, Then, last season, the crew were in Papua, New Guinea. Although there are a lot of locations that have gold aplenty, they are not safe to mine. This is how they wound up in Australia.
Yet, there are other prickly obstacles to deal with. Australia has a lot of laws and regulations about gold mining, and they are strictly enforced. That should be no trouble, as Parker has a lot of local help on this trip.

57 days, 10,000kms, 500 bush chooks and 20 million bloody flies later! Thank you to all these legends for the best two months ever. Feel so blessed to work with such talented people. Love you all 💜 #ballarat #palmerriver #kimberley #sandstone #yalgoo #leonora #kalgoorlie #superpit #yeahnah #kenoath
Parker’s Trail Season 4 Includes Tyler Mahoney
Helping Parker out is a local gold expert, Tyler Mahoney. Hailing from Kalgoorlie, she is from a four-generation gold mining prospecting family. Tyler operates The Prospector’s Club with her family. Their services include everything from detecting, panning, all the way to excavators and dry blowing. Needless to say, the Mahoneys will know the strict rules and regulations when mining in Australia.
Fred Lewis Returns!
Fred Lewis is back for another Parker’s Trail. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Fred is a Special Forces Medic, with extensive combat experience. Although the Australian Outback doesn’t seem to have as much danger as Papua New Guinea, they have more poisonous snakes than anywhere in the world. Add the heat and the recent fires, Fred’s expertise may be a feature in the new season. This Gold Rush crew is in good hands.
Karla Ann is not back. There has not been any sort of explanation as to why she is not part of this crew. In addition, there is a new cameraperson, Dan Etheridge, who is taking incredible shots of this epic gold mining adventure. This may be the best Parker’s Trail ever!
This show really started as a way to honor his late, great-grandpa, John Schnabel. He went the old trail Last fall, Parker and his pals spent two months in Australia filming Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail Season 4. Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail, or as Parker calls it, “The Trail” is Parker’s side project with Discovery. He gets to visit some pretty cool places, all for the love of gold mining.
Be sure to check back with TV Shows Ace for the latest Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail news. The new season will air in Discovery sometime this spring. Gold Rush airs on Discovery on Fridays.
