What Is Christmas Town About?

Elementary school teacher Lauren Gabriel (Cameron Bure) decides it is time get a little bit uncomfortable and to test herself. She leaves Boston and the big city life she has been living. This includes a career-focused boyfriend. She heads back home. Lauren is searching for a simple, white picket fence lifestyle. She wants to live where family and tradition really matters.

Enroute to her new life, her train is delayed in the small town of Grandon Falls. This town is nicknamed “Christmastown.” After encountering a very handsome man, Travis (Rozon),  Lauren decides to stay in Grandon Falls just a bit longer. She uses this time to search for a family heirloom that has been lost for ages. Lauren’s time with Travis and his foster son Dylan gives her some family time that she cherished. Lauren finds what she is looking for in this family-friendly Christmas town, including an opportunity to really change her life. This Christmas miracle in Grandon Falls opens up her life.

Candace Cameron Bure’s Christmas Wish

Speaking to Good Housekeeping, the Queen of Christmas shared how people send her letter how her Christmas movies are lifechangers or help them remember those who are gone. She realizes that although the two-week filming schedule is incredibly crazy, the fans are why she continues to push herself to make these movies.

She says it is because “The holiday season is all about loving on people in your life.” What makes Christmas Town even more special is what she believes “covers a bigger sense of family that I hope will make people think about all of the kids in foster care waiting and dreaming about having a family one day.”

What she is really saying is that she believes in family and Christmas miracles. Candace wants families to gather together, with some hot chocolate and enjoy Christmas Town. She wants people to feel “so good” at the end of the movie.
