The next day, she filed her own divorce papers. Her filing included a name change, as well as a different date of separation. Now, there is more news leaking out about the seemingly perfect couple whose marriage just exploded. This includes a source that shared that Chrishell thought that the This Is Us star didn’t take their marriage seriously.
Chrishell Stause Hartley ‘Reeling’
According to People, who has been speaking to a source that is close to both Chrishell and Justin, “Chrishell is still reeling.” The couple’s pal revealed that yes, the couple had some issues, but the Selling Sunset star was stunned that her husband would just go and file for divorce without trying to work things out.
The source revealed that perhaps the unexpected divorce filing has made her wonder if “Justin never took their marriage seriously at all.” The source went on to explain that Chrishell waited to get married until she was absolutely sure. She had been previously engaged to Glee star, Matthew Morrison. But, she never walked down the aisle with him.
According to the source, Chrishell was “only going to do this once.” Chrishell was determined to make this relationship work. In addition, the insider explained that “she wanted to be sure that when they said their vows, they meant them. And she did — she would have stayed forever.”
On October 28, 2017, Justin and Chrishell made it official. As TV Shows Ace has reported, the couple looked cozy and in love in social media posts up until a week before Justin filed for divorce. Now, many are asking why this golden couple didn’t make it.

Justin Hartley And Chrishell Stause Had Different Priorities
What appears to be the biggest conflict with the couple was that they both had different priorities. Chrishell, who is now 38-years-old, was ready to start a family. The source has pointed out that this has not worked out for Chrishel. “She thought babies would happen soon after they got married, but it just hasn’t worked out.”
Justin, who plays Kevin Pearson on the NBC drama This Is Us, is enjoying a career high. The source shares that Justin has “reached a new level of fame thanks to the show and he doesn’t want to close many doors right now.”
Yet, the source does point out that “Justin is obviously very disappointed that his marriage didn’t work.”
