Honey Boo Boo’s Proud Of Herself – ‘Been Through Hell And Back This Year’
Honey Boo Boo, aka Alana Thompson, went “through hell this year,” she says. Well, fans of Mama June: From Not to Hot, figured that out from the last season of the show. Since then, both she and her big sister Pumpkin kept their fans updated on developments. Despite the tragic family circumstances, young Alana said that she “proud” of herself.
Honey Boo Boo’s hell of a year’s been hard to watch
In the season, fans saw June Shannon falling apart. Eventually, the family decided on intervention as she slid into drug use. Plus, Geno and June got arrested for alleged drug paraphernalia and crack cocaine. June refused to co-operate with the family who arranged the intervention. In fact, TV Shows Ace reported that broken Honey Boo Boo couldn’t even reach her mother. Eventually, Sugar Bear, Alana’s dad agreed for Pumpkin to take custody of the teen.
Later, other rumors and news surfaced, including the fact that June’s estranged from her daughters and took off with Geno in an RV. Meanwhile, Honey Boo Boo went off to real school for the first time, and she seems happy there. Also, Pumpkin really stepped up for her sister and gave her a home. Sometimes the two sisters share on Instagram how they cope with these difficult times. Fans of the young women applaud that she stepped up for her little sister.
Proud of herself, Alana explains why on IG
On Instagram, Honey Boo Boo shared how she feels right now. In her long post, she wrote, “Can we just be real for a second? let me tell y’all how proud i am of myself! i have honestly been through hell and back this year! and i’m still standing 😌!” It seems school’s not a bad place either, as she said, “i have been doing so good in school!” While Alana speaks about her haters, she also noted, “i think about who all loves me and i know them haters mean nothing 🥰.”
It means a lot to her that loads of people do love her, and that she also has “so much going for me.” Perhaps she’s sad about June not reaching out to tell her that she’s also proud of Honey Boo Boo. She noted, “The best words you can hear is i see you trying i’m so proud of you 🌻! but really that feeling is a whole different story 🥺!” But, Alana takes some pleasure from knowing she can make other people and herself happy.

Teen reaches out to others who feel down
Honey Boo Boo often clowns around and makes people laugh and feel good. But, inside she’s hurting. She knows how it feels when things go wrong. So, she reached out to others in that predicament. She wrote, “Let me just be the one to tell y’all if you are going through anything right now, trust me it gets better.” She added, ” you are worth it, i’m so proud of you, i can see you trying, i love you 💓🤩!” Well, that’s rather sweet of the 14-year-old to reach out to others. Who knows how many other young teens took that message to heart and took hope from it?
