Josh Duggar Makes Special Request Just Before Child Pornography Trial
Josh Duggar’s trial is coming up, and he’s decided to file another motion, making a special request. For those who don’t know, the eldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s kids was arrested in April. He allegedly received and possessed child pornography. Though he has declined multiple plea deals and pleaded not guilty, his trial is right around the corner. He’s facing decades behind bars, as well as hefty fines.
The Duggar son and his wife Anna are parents to six kids and have one more due in the “fall,” though fans think the baby is already here. Despite the nature of his charges, the father can still his children with his wife’s supervision. Fans and critics are waiting to see what happens and how his family is affected by the outcome of the trial. It’s just weeks away now with a November 30 date.
So, what motion is Josh filing now, and what exactly does it mean?
Josh Duggar Files Motion Regarding Witnesses
According to documents obtained by Radar, Josh has requested to have the witnesses testifying in the trial kept separate. Essentially, he doesn’t want them talking to each other about the case before the trial.
The legal motion from Josh states:
“Duggar also respectfully requests that this Court’s order also prohibit the Government and/or its witnesses from talking to witnesses who are sequestered about the trial or other witnesses’ testimony prior to or during their testimony.”
His attorneys claim that sequestering is necessary “given the nature of the allegations and the significance of prior statements certain witnesses allegedly made. For fairness, it is important that each witness’s testimony not be influenced by what transpires in the courtroom during trial.”
A response from the prosecution reads, “The defendant filed a motion requesting this Court enter an expansive order sequestering witnesses during trial, and specifically requesting that the Government—but not the defense—be prohibited from speaking with its own witnesses during trial. To the extent, the defense is requesting the Government be prohibited from speaking with its own witnesses during trial, the Government asks this Court to deny the defendant’s request.”
At this time, the judge hasn’t ruled on the motion.

I think he is going to get off. I hope he doesn’t, but I have very little faith in the justice system when you have a white, male, republican defendant.
