‘RHONJ’: Dolores Catania Speaks Out On Break-Up Rumors: Is It Over?
Break-up rumors have been swirling that Dolores Catania and her boyfriend David Principe split up. Is there drama in the romance department for this Real Housewives of New Jersey star? Or, are these break-up rumors just the product of overzealous fans seeing things that aren’t there? Fortunately, Dolores Catania caught wind of the rumors she and her boyfriend David Principe split up. And, she’s speaking out about them.
Her RHONY castmates don’t care for David Principe
Dolores Catania has been in a relationship with her boyfriend David for several years. Her RHONJ castmates, however, don’t particularly care for her boyfriend. After a lengthy relationship, her fellow housewives don’t like the lack of commitment on his part and think Dolores is just settling for him.
All signs pointed to Dolores Catania wanting her boyfriend David to propose to her. However, she appears to have changed her mind and her fellow housewives believe she’s just settling instead of going after what she really wants in her relationship.
Dolores Catania responds to break-up rumors
According to Screen Rant, it was about a month ago that rumors the RHONJ couple had split up really began to swirl. A Bravo fan account reported receiving private messages claiming the couple actually split prior to the Nashville, Tennessee cast trip. The person who sent in the private messages claimed to be a co-worker of David. This individual noted it was Dolores Catania who ended the relationship.
The break-up rumors gained traction from this message because there is a lot of interaction between the couple on the show that suggested their relationship was NOT in a good place. For example, David was not a huge fan of Dolores Catania continuing to get plastic surgery. His disapproval didn’t stop her from getting surgeries, so fans assume that created a lot of tension in their relationship.
Dolores Catania was quick to tease fans about what was going on with her and David during a launch party for the new tell-all book. Unfortunately, she was a bit cryptic and didn’t reveal much about their current status. She simply encouraged them to keep watching to see whether the break-up rumors are true.
The Bravo star did make it a point to clarify that David not attending an event with her shouldn’t be used to determine whether they are in a relationship or not. Moreover, she reminds us that David doesn’t spend a lot of time with her during filming. So, his absence isn’t evidence the relationship is over. Basically, this was just her way of pointing out that David not attending the Nashville trip didn’t mean they had broken up.
Unfortunately, Dolores Catania did speak out. But, she hasn’t done much to clear the air on if the break-up rumors are true.
