Kyle Richards lost over $1 million dollars in 2017 robbery
Dorit Kemsley’s co-star Kyle Richards was the victim of a home invasion in 2017. While Kyle and her family were on vacation in Aspen, Colorado, burglars hit her Encino, California, home.
The thieves made off with over $1 million in stolen goods, including the reality star’s pricey jewelry and handbags. Some pieces were family heirlooms passed on from her mother.
At the time, People magazine reported that the home security system wasn’t working due a faulty panel. So, while Kyle and her husband thought they were securing the home virtually through an app, the security system wasn’t armed at the time of the robbery.
Andy Cohen, viewers chide Lisa Rinna for keeping vintage dresses accessible to thieves
Andy Cohen took Lisa Rinna to task during part three of the RHOBH reunion. He read a comment from a viewer about Rinna storing her vintage red carpet dresses in “an attached garage” at her home.
During Season 11, Lisa and Harry Hamlin’s two daughters, Amelia and Delilah, held an impromptu garage fashion show with the garments.
After hearing the comment from a fan, Lisa Rinna revealed Andy Cohen’s response to that episode. She said that he had texted her and yelled at her for having the dresses stored in her garage. The Days of Our Lives alum further revealed that they are now stored in a more secure location.
RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley robbed at gunpoint
On Thursday, October 28, news broke that another RHOBH star was robbed. Dorit Kemsley’s Encino home was broken into on the previous night, hours after the reunion episode aired.
During the reunion, Dorit shared that she purchases all of her extensive wardrobe at retail prices and keeps each piece to pass on to her daughter, Phoenix.
People reports that Dorit, Phoenix and son Jagger were all in the home asleep when the robbery happened. Dorit’s husband, PK, was in England. The outlet further reveals that Dorit herself had just returned from England a few days earlier.
The LAPD confirmed to People that the thieves got away with an “unknown amount of property.”
Other sources, including Us Weekly, are reporting that Dorit Kemsley was held at gunpoint during the home invasion. She has yet to publicly comment on the incident.
