As we reported, filming of Season 2 of Sweet Magnolias wrapped this summer and the new season is set to arrive on Netflix in 2022. Let’s have a look at what we know so far about the upcoming season of the popular series.
Sweet Magnolias on Netflix
The Netflix Original series tells the story of three women and their bond, as they face their own challenges. Netflix first announced the series in 2018 and released Season 1 on May 19, 2020. So, this means it has been more than a year since fans have seen the show. However, we do know that as of July 27, 2020, Sweet Magnolias was officially renewed.
At the time, Sheryl Anderson said how “thrilled and excited” she was to come back with a cast and a crew that she loves so much. Now fans want to know what they can expect from the second season of the series. Of course, this is especially so after the dramatic way Season 1 ended.
Season 1 recap
As a reminder, at the end of Season 1, it left a huge cliffhanger. This relates to the outcome of the fight following the after-prom party. The fight led to a car crash, with Kyle unconscious. Meanwhile, one major cliffhanger was the identity of the passenger in the car, which will be a major question heading into Season 2.
Fans will remember that Helen has just split from her boyfriend, leaving many questions, especially as she is longing to have a child. On the other hand, Maddie is under strain over the fact that her former partner wants to give their relationship another go, using her kids as an excuse. As for Dana, she is under major strain trying to keep her business going. On top of this, she is now pressured by the fact that she might have an estranged son working in her kitchen.

As we said, there are lots and lots of questions as we head towards Season 2. However, What’s On Netflix got hold of a list of some of the episode names for the new season of Sweet Magnolias, as follows:
