Netflix adult animated comedy series Inside Job
The Netflix Original adult animated comedy series Inside Job comes from the mind of Shion Takeuchi, one of the writers of Gravity Falls and Regular Show. Meanwhile, the new series is executive-produced by Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls.
Netflix has provided a synopsis for the new fun series. Basically, the show is about the shadow government and a dysfunctional team whose daily grind is to commit the world’s conspiracies. The staff of Cognito Inc. is committed to convoluted cover-ups, masked orgy etiquette and secret societies.
Naturally, navigating the office culture at Cognito Inc. can be tricky, especially for our heroine, anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley. Even though her workplace is filled with reptilian shapeshifters and psychic mushrooms, she is the one who is considered the odd one out. The reason for this is the fact that she actually believes the world could be a better place.
In fact, Ridley believes she can make a difference if only she could manage her unhinged, manifesto-writing father and irresponsible coworkers. If she can do this, she would finally snag the promotion she has been dreaming of.
Who are the voices behind the animated series?
A number of big names can be seen among the voice actors of Inside Job. Lizzy Caplan plays Reagan Ridley, a socially awkward tech genius who believes the world can be improved, as long as she gets promoted along the way. Meanwhile, Christian Slater voices Rand Ridley, Reagan’s father and former head of Cognito who is plotting revenge against his former employers.
Clark Duke is behind the voice of Brett Hand. He is a yes man from Washington, hiding his caring and kind demeanor behind a frat-boy persona. Andrew Daly plays J.R. Schiempough, the CEO of Cognito, while Bobby Lee plays Dr. Andre, a free-spirited biochemist.
John DiMaggio voices the role of Glenn Dolphman, a conservative war hero who happens to be part man and part dolphin. Tisha Campbell plays Gigi, the Head of Media Manipulation and Subliminal Messages. Naturally, she is also the office gossip queen. Meanwhile, Brett Gelman is Magic Myc, one of the office mushroom-like creatures as well as a complete jerk.
