This May Explain Why The Duggar Family Ignored Jim Bob’s Birthday
On Jim Bob Duggar’s birthday on Sunday, he didn’t get many birthday wishes from the rest of his family. As we reported, only one of his kids, Jedidiah Duggar, posted on social media to wish him a happy birthday. Typically, the members of the Duggar family will share posts about one other on their birthdays. But this year, for some reason, Jim Bob didn’t get the attention he has in years past. It is odd that no one but Jedidiah shared about Jim Bob’s birthday on social media, fans think.
Jim Bob Duggar gets a new birthday buddy
There’s a very good reason for the lack of posts in honor of Jim Bob’s birthday this year. A new Duggar grandchild was born on his birthday! So, the family was pretty distracted.
Jessa and Ben Seewald welcomed their fourth child to the world on Sunday, which happened to be Jim Bob’s birthday. On Tuesday, Jim Bob and Michelle posted a few photos on their shared Instagram account. In one, Jim Bob is cradling his newest granddaughter.
The Duggar grandparents proudly announced, “Grandpa and his new birthday buddy! Jessa gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on July 18—our 10th granddaughter in a row!! đŸ’• Our hearts are full! We are so thankful for this precious new little life.”
Counting On family lays low following Josh’s arrest
After Josh was arrested for the possession of child sexual abuse, the whole family got pretty quiet. His wife Anna Duggar hasn’t posted on social media since Josh was arrested and many other family members have started posting less frequently.
It’s possible that the family kept their birthday wishes for Jim Bob more private this year to avoid the potential backlash they could receive. The Duggars already have their Instagram comments limited to restrict the number of hateful comments they receive, but that only weeds out some of the backlash they get.
Whether Jim Bob’s family members decided to share social media tributes this year, fans assume that he was celebrated anyway. They may have had a family gathering, or the kids may have dropped off gifts.
