Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga are still together. Melissa Gorga reveals that while things are not perfect between the couple, they continue to work on their marriage issues.

During Season 11 of RHONJ, it was apparent that Joe Gorga was not thrilled with the direction his marriage to Melissa was going. Melissa Gorga let everyone know she was not happy just being a stay-at-home housewife and mom and was eager for change throughout the season.

Things began heating up between Melissa and Joe, and during the Season 11 reunion, it looked as if the two might part ways. Joe made it clear that he was unhappy with the changes that Melissa Gorga was making. He wanted her home taking care of the couple’s three children and his needs.

Since the reunion, Melissa reveals things appear to be taking a turn for the better between the two. Melissa claims she and Joe have spent the past few months working on their marriage and making a point to reconnect.

Date Night A Priority

The key, she claims, is finding balance. Us Weekly reveals that Melissa admits that while Joe is not big on change, it is necessary. Married for 16 years, the Gorga’s have realized that change and growth are inevitable. In March, things did not look for the Gorgas. Reports revealed that Melissa was becoming too self-absorbed with her career. Joe was feeling neglected and left out of his wife’s life.

During Season 11, fans grew very concerned that Joe and Melissa would split. It was evident that Melissa was enjoying her newfound success and freedom. However, she was hungry for independence.

Reality TV Life Is Tough For Melissa And Joe

The marital stress also affected Gorga’s 15-year-old daughter Antonia. Melissa reveals the two have had a lot of hard conversations.

“She would be like, ‘Why are [magazines and social media users] saying you’re getting a divorce? Why are they saying you’re fighting? What is this?'” the reality star told the magazine. “I had to explain to her, ‘Antonia, we’re on reality TV. … It’s the littlest thing, and they make it a big thing. So everything is not what it seems.'”

Melissa said that it was hard because Antonia is now at an age where she is exposed to everything online. It was not easy, but she discussed and reminded Antonia how they have chosen to share all of their lives, even the bad times.

The couple also credits the pandemic for helping to save their marriage. In addition, Melissa Gorga reveals it gave the family a lot more much-needed time together. Hopefully, Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will prove to be a better year for Melissa and Joe Gorga.

Season 12 of RHONJ will premiere on Bravo in early 2022.
