‘My 600-Lb. Life’ Season 6 Cast Member Passes Away

Sad news for My 600-Lb. Life fans as Renee Biran from Season 6 of the series recently passed away. According to her official obituary, she was 56-years-old at the time of her passing. Renee was surrounded by family and friends that mattered to her most when she “went home to the lord” on Saturday, May 14, 2021.

What was Renee Biran’s cause of death?

It is not traditional for cause of death to be listed on someone’s obituary. So, unfortunately, My 600-Lb. Life fans are not sure what Renee’s cause of death was for sure. Most of the chatter in fan groups on social media, however, assume her passing as something to do with her diagnosis of Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

According to WHO, roughly 3 to 5 percent of those diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome pass away from complications. These complications include blood infection, cardiac arrest, lung clots, and muscle paralysis that inhibits the ability to breathe.

The My 600-Lb. Life star lost a lot of weight

When she joined the TLC series, she weighed in at 631 pounds. Prior to being on the show, Renee Biran was a plus-size model. She was proud of it too. But, her health took a turn for the worse. So, she sought out Dr. Now’s weight loss program. Hoping to turn her life around. To shed some weight. And, to get her life back.

Renee Biran of Season 6 lost over 250 pounds on her journey to weight loss. She was on the right path to get the weight loss surgery. But, her world turned upside down when she got diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

Fans of My 600-Lb. Life rooted for Renee. They also really loved how supportive her family was.

She will be greatly missed by a lot of people

According to her obituary, she was survived by a very large family. This includes her children Lanika Carlock, Brentney Brabson, Dimitrius Brabson, Monique Bradley, Aaron Johnson, Portia Wilson, and Travis Young (Krista). She is also survived by her 28 grandchildren.

Her obituary reads: “Renee rededicated her life to the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and became a member of New Harvest Worship Center in Philadelphia, Tennessee. She was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, aunty, niece, and friend to all in her life.”

Her obituary also recognizes that she was a cast member on My 600-Lb. Life because she wanted to put her beautiful face out there for people to see.

  3. i just watched her story on 600lb life today and i was cheering her on and be frustrated when she refused to do physical therapy and happy the doctor put her in water exercise then i was cheering her on again because she lost all the weight this was actually my first time watching this show omg then i seen her son’s face light up and actually thanked the doctor and the doctor thanked Renee for actually doing the program UGHHHH THEN i screamed at the tv wen it said in loving memory UGHHHHHHH she was just a loving warm spirit now i’m writing BECAUSE i wanted to tell her family how sorry i was of her passing

  5. I just watched Renee’s story for the first time. Bless all these survivors of child and domestic abuse. I wish we could eradicate it like we did polio. She was a beautiful woman with a mild spirit. Renee fought a good fight. I wish that she’d gotten a few more happy years. RIP!
