Lala Kent shared her honest journey with breastfeeding. On Thursday, April 1, the Vanderpump Rules star posted a photo of herself on the floor with a breast pump. Lala looked like she was over it. Last month, Lala and her fiance Randall Emmett welcomed their first daughter, Ocean.
Since then, Lala has been sharing some of her journey to motherhood. Fans love her candid and honest posts, and that hasn’t changed. In her latest Instagram post, she admitted that she’s not “married” to the idea of breastfeeding and it doesn’t change the bond she has with her daughter.
Lala Kent admits her struggles with breastfeeding
In the photo, Lala Kent wore a fuzzy gray robe with a black tank top and cozy socks. She obviously looked tired from providing her little one milk. While she previously shared this photo on her Instagram Story, she decided to post it to her feed. In her Instagram post, she revealed that she received many questions about her decision to breast-feed.
Lala says she’s not committed to breastfeeding. She knows of women who struggle with it. Lala didn’t want to feel the same “disappointment” and “shame” that other new moms do. However, she is grateful that she’s able to provide for her daughter.
“That being said, I’m grateful my boobies are producing, but I know my baby is bonded to me regardless of what kind of nipple is in her mouth,” Lala concluded in her honest post.
Over 54,000 followers liked her post. Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder commented: “Caption [100 emoji]. Hallelujah [hands up emoji].” As fans know, Stassi has shared her struggles with breastfeeding. Earlier this year, Stassi shared her own breastfeeding selfie via an Instagram Story. The new mom has also shared her journey on her new podcast, The Good The Bad The Baby with her husband, Beau Clark.
Stassi Schroeder gets candid about “postpartum life”
On Sunday, January 31, Stassi Schroeder shared a photo of herself pumping milk. She wrote on the photo: “Postpartum life.” Fans gave the former Vanderpump Rules star their input about breast-feeding. Unfortunately, none of it has helped her with her constant struggles.
“I’m checking my DM s and everyone’s giving me a lot of advice on breast-feeding and different breast pumps that are either easier to use or hands-free or help you produce more milk,” the Next Level Basic author wrote.
“Breastfeeding is hard. I am committed but it’s hard, and it’s my goal right now with pumping is to be producing as much milk as possible because I’m struggling with that.”
Stassi said that she has been “drinking all the water in the world,” taking breastfeeding pills, and eating oatmeal “every day.” The frustrated television personality asked her followers for suggestions on pumps “that help with producing the most milk?”
Lala and Stasssi are helping moms realize they’re not alone with their honest stories about their breastfeeding journeys.
