Has Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke postponed their wedding for too long? The Bachelor’s Ben Higgins has been having a tough time staying separated from his lady love, Jessica Clarke after their wedding was postponed due to the pandemic. They got engaged last March and have patiently been waiting to tie the knot. The coronavirus pandemic has made their wedding plans tough to carry through.

Ben and Jessica have been engaged since March 2020. They have even purchased a home together in Colorado. However, things did not go as smoothly as the couple would have hoped.

Planning A Wedding Has Been Tough

Ben says that Jessica has been doing most of the planning and that it has been tough on her. The uncertainty of the times has been a challenge while creating their dream wedding plans. Ben said, “I mean, it’s been a year push back now. I’m making this commitment that I’ve been ready to make with her for a long time and it just keeps getting pushed back.”

“I think for Jessica it has been really hard,” said Ben to Bachelor Nation podcast co-host, Ashley Iaconetti. “I think the hard part is just having in the back of your head, like, we could plan on this thing, and it could maybe not happen. It could be changed completely.” Ben is concerned because they want their grandparents and loved ones there without any worry. This is because the elderly are a risk group during this time and need extra care to enjoy their wedding.

Ben and Jessica Clarke Wedding Postponed Far Too LongWhat Next?

Although Ben and Jessica were hoping to tie the knot last year in November, it didn’t happen. And now they are looking into November 2021. Is Jessica Clarke wedding postponement justified? Many factors make it a challenge to have an earlier 2021 date. To begin with, the Bachelor Live on Stage tour usually happens in the earlier months of the year. This is an event Higgins co-hosts with another Bachelor franchise alumni, Becca Kufrin. Furthermore, Jessica’s brother is a pro baseball player with an active play season. It only made sense to push it to the end of the year.

While it may be hard for the lovebirds, Higgins and Clarke have chosen to see the positive side of the situation. “What Jess and I have been able to do is, like, mentally wrap our brains around the idea of how much fun it is going to be engaged for a year and a half. And we’re talking to each other in that way. Like, this is a fun time. We should enjoy this. We can celebrate this.”

The couple enjoys activities together to pass the time constructively. Jessica is taking classes in esthetician school, while Ben continues with his Bachelor Nation projects.

Stay tuned for more updates on their upcoming wedding.
