Actor Matthew Perry is in the process of selling Friends-themed clothing online to raise money. However, before you start worrying about his finances, this is going to a good cause. All proceeds will aid the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 relief efforts. Matthew, 51, recently shared an image of himself, wearing an iconic t-shirt.  The shirt features a cartoon version of his Friends character, Chandler Bing, dancing. The shirt also features the words. “could this BE anymore of a t-shirt?” This is a take on one of Chandler’s best-known phrases.

The featured t-shirt, along with mugs, sweatshirts and hats, is currently available on a website for purchase. Meanwhile, fans will have to be quick, as they are only available for a limited time. The money raised from the sales will go towards helping people affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19).

In Perry’s IG post he poses with a banana, writing, “What is this, a limited edition t-shirt for charity?” He goes on to write that he is releasing an apparel collection for two weeks only. Matthew’s reason for sales is to aid the World Health Organization’s COVID 19 relief efforts. Perry then pointed out that the link is in his bio.

Looking forward to the Friends reunion special

Matthew recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend Molly Hurwitz, who took him up on the deal. He said last month that the coronavirus pandemic had delayed the long-awaited Friends reunion special. Perry made a post on Twitter in November that it is now scheduled to tape in March 2021. Matthew also noted that they have a busy year coming up and that’s the way he likes it.

The Friends reunion special was first announced in February but postponed in May due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the special, fans will get to see Matthew along with other members of the Friends cast. This includes Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.

Bob Greenblatt, the former WarnerMedia Entertainment boss, had previously spoken about the postponement. He said that being able to have a live, in-studio audience for the Friends special was key. Greenblatt added that they didn’t want to suddenly make it into a web call with “six squares and people shooting from their kitchens and bedrooms.”

Jennifer said how sad it was they had to postpone again an interview with Deadline in August. As noted by People, Aniston also mentioned the necessity for live audiences and that this was not a safe time to do it.

Jennifer said they are never going to get rid of Friends and that we are stuck with them for life. On that point, all 10 seasons of Friends are now streaming on HBO Max.
