Nick Carter Reveals Whether He’s The Crocodile On ‘The Masked Singer’
Nick Carter addressed The Masked Singer rumors. Fans are convinced that he’s the Crocodile. In a new interview with ET Canada, the Backstreet Boy talked about getting creative amid the coronavirus pandemic. Does that mean he also tried out for the singing competition series?

Nick Carter talks Masked Singer rumors
The “I Will Wait” singer sat down for an exclusive interview with ET Canada. During the interview, he praised AJ McLean for his incredible performances on Dancing with the Stars. Nick Carter admitted that he’s inspired by his fellow bandmate. He doesn’t feel he was as good of a dancer even though he won during his season. Nick also feels that AJ left the competition too early.
Then the conversation shifted from Dancing with the Stars to The Masked Singer. Nick said he’s heard of it and that he watches it. As for those rumors that he’s the Crocodile? He doesn’t see the comparisons that everyone else is seeing.
“Yeah, I’ve seen … People have been saying some things, but nah,” Nick said with a smile on his face.
The boybander added that he hasn’t kept up with much of a show. He’s not as a dedicated watcher as the viewers. The pop star has only watched some of the Crocodile’s performances through YouTube videos. He smiled and claims it’s “crazy” that people think he’s the Crocodile.
Why fans think he’s the Crocodile
It’s been a few weeks since the Crocodile performed on The Masked Singer. But that hasn’t stopped fans from talking about Nick Carter possibly trying out for the show. Screen Rant previously reported that the show may have “accidentally revealed” the Crocodile’s identity, which led to the rumors. On a previous episode, the clue packaged revealed that the Crocodile had a rough upbringing.
He had to support himself and his family through entertainment. It was similar to Nick’s recounting in his 2013 autobiography, Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It. One Backstreet Boy fan shared a passage from the book. The clue package also featured a disco ball, the number five, and a pirate.
How do these add up? Nick is one of the five members of the Backstreet Boys. He has a Tampa Bay Buccaneers-inspired tattoo that he just got in August. As previously mentioned, he competed on Dancing with the Stars and got second on the show.
Of course, this is just a rumor. And Nick wants to make it clear that he’s not the Crocodile. But all the contestants have to sign an iron-clad contract that says they can’t even tell their friends and family members they’re on the show. It would ruin the mystery.
Regardless, fans could hear Nick’s voice when he sung his version of Britney Spears’ hit song “Toxic.”
