Braunwyn Windham-Burke Slams Claims She Doesn’t Raise Her Kids

Braunwyn Windham-Burke clapped back at the criticism that she doesn’t raise her kids. The Housewife is having a difficult second season on The Real Housewives of Orange County. She opened up the season by revealing that she’s an alcoholic. Now, she’s being accused of not taking care of her kids and she’s firing back.

Some critics think she uses nannies to help raise her kids. This comes just days after her RHOC co-star Kelly Dodd hinted that she’s a neglectful parent. Braunwyn is defending her reason to hire two nannies. She also credits them for helping raise her kids.

Brauwnyn Windham-Burke fires back at the haters

On Tuesday, November 10, Braunwyn Windham-Burke took to Instagram to share a clip of herself with her child and her nannies. In the caption, she wrote: “Meet ‘The Nannies,’ Melissa and Liz!!” She also credited the ladies.

“I mean you don’t raise your kids if you have [two] nannies from sun up to sundown,” one fan wrote in the comments section.

Braunwyn took note of that comment and fired back. She claimed she is proud of her decision to hire nannies. She’s glad they were there when she couldn’t take care of her kids herself.

“It’s 2020, we’re smashing ceilings and restructuring society, it’s actually possible to be an amazing mom and an amazing human,” Braunwyn wrote back. “We can do all the things, so can our daughters.”

In her video, Braunwyn addressed the criticism she got for hiring help. She explained that even though she has two nannies, they don’t work for her at the same time. Melissa works from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., while Liz works from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Then Braunwyn takes over as the sole mom.

“Braunwyn, you don’t owe anybody an explanation. Don’t give into the haters!” one of her followers wrote in the comments section.

“This isn’t about the ‘haters,’ it’s about putting names and faces to the amazing women that help me raise my kids,” Braunwyn added.

Does the RHOC star want more kids?

Wednesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County showed Braunwyn Windham-Burke having a conversation with Gina Kirschenheiter. During their car ride, she revealed that she would get pregnant just to stop drinking. She also suggested that her husband Sean Burke enabled her to drink.

In her Instagram post, a fan wanted to know if she and Sean would have more children down the line.

“Are [you] planning on more children?” the fan asked.

“Nope,” Braunwyn admitted.

Sean moved back into their family home after living separately for an undisclosed amount of time. The couple won’t have more kids since their last embryo was used to conceive their youngest child, daughter Hazel.

“We did IVF for the younger ones and Hazel was our last embryo,” she explained to the fan.

As for Braunwyn and Sean, the couple is currently navigating their marriage. Sean just moved back home, so they probably want to see where things take them next. Previously, on Instagram, Braunwyn talked about their “modern marriage.” She no longer wants to live as a traditional Housewife.
