Jeremy Vuolo’s New Post Raises Questions About Faith

Jeremy Vuolo Instagram

Counting On fans know that the Duggar family is very religious. This includes Jinger Duggar’s husband Jeremy Vuolo. Jinger and Jeremy recently moved to Los Angeles, California with their daughter Felicity. There, Jeremy is attending the Master’s Seminary.

Jinger and Jeremy often share bible verses and talk about their faith. They share about prayer via social media. The couple has also started a podcast called The Hope We Hold. On the podcast episodes, they talk about religion and living their lives as Christians. Many fans have come to appreciate their insight and advice.

But now, Jeremy’s recent post is raising some questions.

A peek into the Duggar family group chat

On Instagram, Jeremy Vuolo shared a screenshot of a conversation from the family’s group chat. It’s unclear who all is in the chat, but it definitely includes Jeremy and his sister-in-law Jessa Seewald. The messages Jeremy sent are in blue, while Jessa’s are gray. You can read the conversation here:

This conversation began when Jessa posted a photo of her Christmas tree. She decorated early this year. Many Duggar fans think this is a great idea, especially since 2020 has been rough. Fans love that Jessa is bringing a little bit of joy to her family’s life.

Fans seem to think this conversation is funny, and they like getting to see what goes on behind the scenes. But it’s worth noting that Jeremy’s text messages may not fit the Christian values that the family adheres to.

Jeremy Vuolo mentions holidays

First, Jeremy refers to a Christmas tree as an “Xmas tree.” Many Christians dislike the use of the “X” in place of “Christ.” This is because of the Christian meaning of Christmas. Christians like to “keep Christ in Christmas.” Since Jeremy was texting, it might have just been a way for him to type more quickly.

In addition, Jeremy mentions Halloween. This is abnormal in his wife’s family. Of course, just because he mentions it doesn’t mean he and Jinger celebrate the holiday. Many Christians, including the Duggar family, dislike Halloween and stick to fall festivities instead of costumes and trick-or-treating.

These things alone probably don’t mean that he’s not as strong of a Christian as he leads people to believe. There’s evidence of his faith all over his social media pages. But, it is interested that he would use the words he did.

So, what do you think of Jeremy Vuolo’s post? Do you think it says anything about his faith? Share your thoughts below.
