90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Sumit Singh is worry about his court date. His estranged wife brought up charges against him as well as filed for spousal support.
What were the charges?
While Sumit remained vague about what his wife’s accusations against him, his current girlfriend speaks out. Jenny Slatten said that Sumit’s wife is “claimed that he was hurting her, and treating her bad.” In ET’s exclusive sneak peek from the episode, Sumit tells his friend, Rohit, that he’s been losing sleep over his pending court appearance.

“All the tensions and all, it’s like hell for me,” he says while en route to the government building in India. He continues, “I’m having bad dreams about, like, what’s going to happen.” he states that even Rohit seems concerned.
“I’m concerned that maybe they are playing some trick to get more money from Sumit,” he tells cameras. “I’m hoping that they will withdraw the case.”
The grief continues
Sumit continues to think that his estranged wife is just doing whatever she can to truly hurt him and to get back at him. He thinks she will do anything to make him miserable. Sumit hopes the judge will dismiss all the charges,” he tells cameras. “If not, I’m really screwed.” Sumit’s worry continues to grow. Fans continue to wonder what accusations his wife has come up with against her husband.

To clarify, Sumit’s parents do not approve of his relationship with the much older Jenny. Meanwhile, his parents do feel responsible for his bad marriage and have agreed to help pay the 20k for a divorce, which can take 2 to 5 years to be finalized. In a past episode, he breaks down talking about how miserable he was in his arranged marriage. Besides, he tells his parents that he was suicidal at some point due to how unhappy he was with his wife. “I listened to you and went through with an arranged marriage … Then where did my happiness go? Mummy, I was dying!” Sumit told his mother.

Meanwhile, Sumit has made it clear that he is going to stay with his much older lover. Even though Indian society would never accept their odd relationship. Sumit doesn’t care and suggested this worship of community is what led to his suffering and staying in such a bad relationship. The marriage lasted for over 2 years and he was miserable the entire time.
