Hannah Brown vulnerabilities

Hannah Brown came across on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, like a really nice girl with a lot of inner conflict. Tough on the one hand, she also seemed very vulnerable. Actually, it seems that her vulnerability surprised her. Peeling off the layers on reality TV, many women relate to her.

Hannah Brown vulnerabilities nearly stopped her from appearing on the show

Every woman feels vulnerable at one stage or another. And they hide it. Afraid of rejection, afraid of inviting predators, they cover it up. Whether emotional or physical, those vulnerabilities arrive from many places. Did you know that Hannah nearly rejected the offer to star on the ABC franchise? That fear of ridicule stemmed from an acne problem. We reported that she said felt bad at school because of that. And, people mocked her for her “unibrow.”

Things like that might sound small. But, everyone knows how small things can affect their confidence. These days, Hannah openly talks about her vulnerable side. Certainly, most women don’t do that. They cover it up with attitude, makeup, and other redirection. But, Hannah Brown feels strongly that people should reveal their true selves. And, an acknowledgment of vulnerabilities becomes a part of that.

The challenge of ‘Normalizing’

Taking to her Instagram, Hannah wrote a long post. She said, “I want to try something in the spirit of normalizing vulnerability and becoming the best, most empowered versions of ourselves.” It came from reactions that fans had after she posted up her With Honors trailer. She talked about how feeling vulnerable makes people “fear.” Fear makes her feel she can’t “trust” easily. So, that explains her apparent lack of commitment to long term relationships.

The Bachelorette alum invited people to reveal their inner issues. Hannah Brown wrote, “post a photo of yourself on IG and introduce yourself in the caption… like REALLY introduce yourself and don’t be afraid to be raw and real!! Psychology Today agrees that “cutting off” from real emotions isn’t a good thing. They wrote, “The truth of who we are is so essential that its absence takes a heavy toll.”
