Joy Duggar Replies To Fans About ‘Dropping’ Baby Evy
On Sunday, Joy Duggar Forsyth shared a couple of new family photos. The first one features herself, Austin, and their two kids, Gideon, 2, and Evelyn, 1 month. She reveals that the pictures were taken when the family went to church.
This is one of the first times fans have gotten to see photos of the family of four. Since Evelyn joined the family, fans have seen plenty of pictures of the baby and of the two young siblings together. Of course, it’s probably tricky for Joy and Austin to get a photo of all four of their family members.
As TV Shows Ace reports, fans expressed concern over the family’s lack of masks. They think it’s dangerous, especially since the couple has young children at home. It’s possible that the family only took their masks off for the photos, but the Duggar family hasn’t necessarily been taking social-distancing and mask-wearing seriously. But, fans have other worries about the photos too.
Duggar fans worry about how Joy’s holding Evy
In the pictures, Joy is holding Evelyn loosely while she’s holding a diaper bag and trying to get a picture. She isn’t holding the baby as securely as some fans wish she was, it seems.
Fans think that Joy’s photos make it look like she’s dropping her daughter. One said, “Why is she carrying that baby like that looks like she fixing to drop her!” A few other Instagram users shared similar concerns.
Fortunately, plenty of other fans are coming to Joy’s defense and saying that it doesn’t look like she’s dropping the baby. They say that it looks like she’s supporting Evelyn. Plus, Joy clearly has her hands full.
Joy explains the situation in the photo
After receiving multiple concerns about how she’s holding her baby in the photos, Joy decided to explain herself. She says, “Haha! Thank you for your concern! I was holding Evy and then Gideon was trying to hold my hand! I wasn’t about to drop her tho!”

Previously, Joy and Austin talked about how they evaluate the criticism they receive. They are subject to plenty of negative comments from Duggar fans and critics alike. While Joy sometimes stands up for herself, she sometimes just lets it go. One time, she even deleted a social media post due to all of the hate she got.
