‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Mates Return To SUR Restaurant
Your Vanderpump Rules favorites are returning to SUR. TV Shows Ace previously reported that the restaurant reopened on Wednesday, September 23. It’s been closed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Also, VPR Season 9 is up in the air.
No one knows when and if they’ll film a new season. Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay both sounded uncertain on the future of the show. Now, some of the cast members are returning to SUR. They’re getting ready to return to the West Hollywood restaurant after it was closed amid the ongoing public health crisis.
In a previous report, SUR will allow its patrons to eat and drink outdoors. It’s any wonder if the show will also film safely outside.
Vanderpump Rules cast members return to SUR
As per Us Weekly, Peter Madrigal, Charli Burnette, Danica Dow, and Dayna Kathan returned to SUR restaurant. The source shared the details of the reopening on Wednesday, September 23. Major changes are underway due to the COVID-19 outbreak. That means the indoor bar will remain closed.
“SUR is reopening today. There will only be outdoor seating available and reservations required,” the insider told Us Weekly. “Peter will be managing and Lisa and Ken [Todd] may make an appearance.”
The insider added that Charli, Danica, and Dayna will “be brought in to work in sections.” However, it’s unclear whether Brett Caprioni still works at the restaurant. Back in June, Bravo fired Brett and Max Boyens for their past racist comments. Additionally, the network fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for their past racist actions and comments.

“No word on if Brett will be hired back at SUR,” the source told Us Weekly, adding that there are “no plans as of now to reopen TomTom.” The bar reopened twice amid the pandemic but had to shut down again.
Dayna, Charli, and Danica made their debut in Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, along with Max and Brett. But it’s also unclear whether the show will return for another season and who will be part of the cast. Bravo has yet to announce the plans for Season 9.
Peter Madrigal revealed he’s back at work
The SUR manager shared an update with Vanderpump Rules fans. Peter Madrigal took to Instagram to post a clip of himself back at work. In the clip, the Pump Rules co-star wore a black suit and button-down shirt. He also wore a black SUR face mask with eyeglasses.
“SUR REOPENING!!!!!” he excitedly captioned the post. “Back baby!!!” In the video, Peter was enthusiastic while giving his followers a glimpse at the restaurant’s reopening on Wednesday.
“Hey! So we’re finally reopening SUR. It is Wednesday the 23rd,” Peter says before adding, “and I’m ready to do this. You guys wanna come in and have some new drinks? We have a whole new cocktail menu and all the food you can eat. So, let’s do this! I’m gonna open up right now, come on.”

Peter goes right to the door and opens the restaurant. SUR has officially reopened for business. Peter is excited to be back and so are his followers. Most of them took to Peter’s Instagram post to say they’ll be eating there soon.
The VPR co-star also joked that they have “awesome food” and an “awesome mask to go with it.” Apparently, Peter recorded an Instagram Live of the reopening for everyone to see. He revealed that they tried to reopen the restaurant before, but it “didn’t work out” so they decided to give it another shot. He invited the locals to come and dine out at SUR.
Hopefully, this means that Vanderpump Rules Season 9 will be a go too.
