Bekah Martinez has always been very open about her mothering and her children. Now, she’s clapping back at haters who think her breastfeeding is weird.
Bekah Martinez on breastfeeding
Bekah breastfeeds her 20-month-old daughter. Apparently, she thinks that some believe that this action is weird and that she shouldn’t still be doing it. To combat that, Bekah is speaking about it on social media. She doesn’t believe it’s weird at all and she isn’t afraid to talk about it, US Weekly says.
“I’ll say it again: there is NOTHING weird about feeding and soothing my toddler via breast,” she says on Instagram. “There is NOTHING wrong with sharing it via social media.”
Bekah says that some people shame moms for breastfeeding their toddlers. Of course, she isn’t putting up with that.
“Not accepting any uneducated, ignorant or self-righteous puritanical bulls–t today,” she writes on social media. “Bye. Gotta go nurse my 20 month-old.”
It sounds like this is a topic that Bekah is really passionate about which is very good for her! Of course, every mom has the right to parent however they best see fit.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: there is NOTHING weird about feeding and soothing my toddler via breast. There is NOTHING wrong with sharing it via social media. So many moms stop breastfeeding earlier than they want because of stupid pricks like the people online who comment “isn’t she a little too old?”, “we get it, you breastfeed” or even “that’s disgusting 🤢” You wanna talk facts? Let’s talk facts. -The AAP states “There is no evidence of psychologic or developmental harm from breastfeeding into the third year of life or longer.” -The AAFP says “It has been estimated that a natural weaning age for humans is between two and seven years.” -The WHO states “Breastfeeding continues to make an important nutritional contribution well beyond the first year of life as a significant energy source and by providing key nutrients.” So sorry. Not accepting any uneducated, ignorant or self-righteous puritanical bullshit today. Bye. Gotta go nurse my 20 month-old. photo by my fave @e__miranda__
She continues to explain facts about why it is in fact okay to breastfeed your toddler, despite what anyone else says.
Bekah shares a video
This isn’t the first time Bekah has had to defend herself. The Bachelor star also recently shared her entire birth video. She was prepared for haters to come after her after sharing. She was sure to address that right off the bat and she did a very good job of that.
“I sat with this feeling for a while, and I came to a couple conclusions. I realized I still had so many negative, subconscious, deeply-embedded thoughts telling me that I wasn’t feminine enough; that I looked and sounded weird. I projected so many insecurities onto an experience that was truly one of the most powerful, magical moments of my life.” She continues to say, “This is a moment worth sharing; so in advance — f–k the haters.”
However, she actually did have some positive feedback on the video. It seems like she has some fans that really like her.
