Rumored ‘The Bachelorette’ Lead Tayshia Adams Riles Fans With Tone-Deaf Post

Tayshia Adams, Instagram

Tayshia Adams is the rumored replacement of The Bachelorette original lead, Clare Crawley. She just returned to Instagram after a hiatus and posted she’ll be starting up a brand new podcast. Her new podcast, “Click Bait” starts at the beginning of October. But that’s not the post that’s gotten her the most attention.

In a more recent post, Tayshia thanked God for another day alive. Then she said, “We lost a champion for women’s rights yesterday. Adding to the sadness of this already difficult year.” The post was a reminder to keep your head up, with a hashtag tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

The Supreme Court justice died on Friday, September 18.

What Did Fans Think Of Tayshia Adams’ Post?

Fans didn’t think Tayshia Adams handled the tribute that well. One called her out saying, “Why would you post a tribute to RBG with your picture on it?”

Another said, “But who posts a tribute posts with a picture of themselves? I get it it’s your insta but take this moment to spread RBG so little girls see her and remember her as a powerful woman.”

One poster wanted her to use her position in a positive way. They said, “It’s better if you post a photo of the real hero.. JUST SAYING.. you are being giving a wonderful opportunity and I hope you use it for good.”

That fan went on to say she thought her Instagram would survive with one picture that wasn’t her. Tayshia hasn’t responded to the comments about her post, and she most likely won’t.

A pro in the Bachelor world, Tayshia has been down this road before. She had a public relationship with John Paul Jones after Bachelor in Paradise and won runner-up on Colton Underwood’s season.

According to E Online, Colton is happy for her. He said, “Congrats. Good luck and I hope you find yourself a better kisser.”

Fans Also Showed Their Support

Not all her fans considered the post tone-deaf. Some of Tayshia Adams’ fans came to her rescue. One said, “It’s HER page and she can include a tribute to RBG and still convey HER message to remain positive, using HER picture.”

Rumors have spread about hometown dates happening for Tayshia, but confirmation that she’s the lead hasn’t been given. Fans have already started speculating about who won Tayshia’s heart by combing through Instagram for clues on those contestants who unprivated their accounts. No one will know until the season actually premieres.

Fans already know Clare Crawley will fall in love and get engaged really early. They just don’t know how Tayshia will be introduced into the mix. Tayshia hasn’t made a return to Twitter yet, but more than likely that’s the next move. Fans will have to wait until the premiere of The Bachelorette to find out if the leads truly do find love.

The Bachelorette premieres October 13 on ABC.
