Days of Our Lives returns to NBC this week after a short hiatus. The sudser wasn’t on Thursday or Friday last week due to the golf tournament. The drama picks up with the fallout of Eli (Lamon Archey) betraying Lani (Sal Stowers) by arresting her BFF Kristen (Stacy Haiduk.) What other twists and turns can fans expect?

Dr. Rolf Gets a Surprising Visitor

We haven’t seen the last of Dr. Rolf (William Utay)! The mad scientists get a visitor in prison. Fans knew something there was something sketchy about Gwen (Emily O’Brien.)

Jake’s (Brandon Barash) lady love is up to no good when she visits the doc this week. What is her connection to Dr. Rolf? Fans guess they are father and daughter, but Gwen is clearly working with him for some agenda.

Spoilers indicate that Gwen’s target is Abigail (Marci Miller.) She drugs Abby later this week, but fans will have to tune to find out Gwen and Dr. Rolf’s plan.

New DOOL Couple? Bonnie and Justin Kiss

Justin (Wally Kurth) has been beside himself with grief since losing Adrienne (Judi Evans.) Except for his romance and almost-marriage to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans,) that is. After his wedding imploded, Justin ran into Adrienne look-alike Bonnie (also Judi Evans.)

Since then, the two have been getting closer. This week, Bonnie and Justin smooch, but he feels guilty. He confides in Jack (Matthew Ashford.) Jack says it’s no big deal since Justin doesn’t have feelings for Bonnie. Or does he?

Tripp Runs Into a Familiar Face in Salem

Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) son Tripp (Lucas Adams) is back in Salem. His return will also bring a presumed-dead Ava (Tamara Braun) back to town. But first, Tripp runs into someone he knows. Allie (Lindsay Arnold.)

Fans are speculating that Tripp is Allie’s baby daddy. With the custody battle heating up, it makes sense for the soap to throw Baby Horton’s dad into the mix.

Greg Vaughan Bids Goodbye to DOOL as Eric Leaves Town

Greg Vaughan revealed earlier this summer that he would be leaving DOOL. The General Hospital alum has been playing Eric Brady since 2012. However, he spoke out about feeling like a ‘glorified extra’ due to lack of storyline. In fact, Eric married Nicole (Arianne Zucker) earlier this year. The couple didn’t even get a honeymoon on-screen. They just disappeared from town for a few weeks.

Eric’s wife, Nicole, is embroiled in the custody battle with his sister, Sami (Alison Sweeney.) Before he leaves town, Eric brokers some kind of compromise between the two.

As reported last week, Greg Vaughan’s last airdate is September 23. He could potentially return at some point.
