Her body is a wonderland? While John Mayer didn’t write that song about Scheana Shay, he COULD have. The Vanderpump Rules star is opening up about her torrid connection to the musician. And she credits him for her landing on the Bravo show in the first place!

Scheana Shay may be in a committed relationship now, but her past dating history includes singer John Mayer. The Pump Rules star actually just moved to San Diego with her boyfriend Brock Davies.

But earlier this week, Scheana was a guest on the Flashbacks podcast hosted by Heather Rae Young and Jessica Hall. Interestingly, Heather Ray Young appears on Netflix’s Selling Sunset. Scheana recently spoke out about her connection to Heather’s co-star Chrishell Hartley.
Jessica Hall is the younger sister of Stacie Adams, commonly known as “Stacie the Bartender” from MTV’s The Hills. Stacie and Scheana used to live together. At the time, John Mayer had just broken up with actress Jennifer Aniston.
The Pump Rules star and John Mayer began dating after his break-up. Scheana tells the podcast hosts that she eventually brought her roomie into the intimacies between her and the singer.
Falling Out With Friend After Throuple
However, problems arose after John Mayer “liked [Stacie]” better. It led to the friends having “a year of an awkward friendship falling out.” Scheana admits that it was 100% “a big jealousy thing” on her part.
At the time, Stacie was playing a vital role in tensions on The Hills between stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. Fans know that Spencer and Heidi made it through the drama and are now happy.
Stacie and Scheana were able to repair their friendship. In fact, Stacie was a bridesmaid in Scheana’s 2014 wedding to ex Mike Shay.
How Scheana and John’s Entanglement Led Her to Vanderpump Rules
If it wasn’t for John Mayer, Scheana never would have wound up on Pump Rules. When she was dating the musician, she was working at a cigar club in Beverly Hills. One of her co-workers heard about the romance. When that co-worker got fired for fraternizing, they outed Scheana’s connection to John Mayer, per Us Weekly.
While he wasn’t a member of the BH club, he was in the New York club. As a result of the firing, Scheana got a new job. At Lisa Vanderpump’s eatery Villa Blanca.
As fans know from the Pump Rules season 1 premiere, Scheana later transferred from Villa Blanca to SUR. The Bravo show revolves around the employees of SUR. Who can forget Scheana tangling with former Pump Rules co-star Stassi Schroeder over SUR’s tip-sharing policy?
