Scheana Shay Discusses Complicated Relationship With Chrishell Stause
Scheana Shay is dishing all about her friendship with Chrishell Stause. The reality stars used to be good friends. This may come as a shock to fans of Selling Sunset and Vanderpump Rules.
But, that’s not the case anymore. They’re more frenemies than BFFs. Scheana addressed her complicated relationship with Chrishell. The Bravo star also feels that the real estate agent is “jealous” of Justin Hartley’s fame.
That’s when she weighed in on Chrishell’s divorce with Justin Hartley. She spilled all the details on the latest episode of her “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay” podcast. Scheana even went as far as to invite Chrishell’s enemy Christine Quinn as her celebrity guest.
Why Scheana Shay and Chrishell Stause are no longer friends
On the Friday, August 7 episode of her “Schenanigans” podcast, Scheana Shay talked about her relationship with Chrishell Stause. The 35-year-old explained what happened between them. She felt that she was “becoming pretty good friends” with Chrishell when she went through her divorce from Michael Shay back in 2017, as per Us Weekly.
The Selling Sunset went through a lot during that challenging year. In addition, she lost her dog from an oncoming vehicle. This led Scheana Shay to reach out to Chrishell’s now-estranged husband, Justin Hartley. The VPR star contacted him on social media since she didn’t have his phone number. Justin appreciated Scheana’s comments and said he would relay the message.

When she later recalled the story to her friend Jamie Lynne, she was shocked to learn that Chrishell already told Jamie about the incident and changed the story. Chrishell didn’t like that Scheana reached out, and she didn’t want to be friends with the reality star. Even Jamie claimed that Chrishell has changed since they became friends.
Scheana said she tried to keep the peace between them. She even invited the couple to a New Year’s Eve party. She didn’t understand why Chrishell didn’t want to associate with her when she chose to be on the Netflix series.

Scheana Shay also addressed Chrishell’s split from Justin Hartley. She feels the reason why they separated is because of the former All My Children star’s “jealousy” of her husband’s success on This Is Us.
“I think part of it was when Justin started to gain more fame than she’s ever had,” Scheana Shay explained, as per The Blast. “I think there was jealousy, competitiveness, that in a relationship that could ruin it ultimately, you know? Like now she’s not the one on a soap opera, getting recognized when she goes out to dinner. Now she’s the girl taking the photos of him with fans and she was just kind of lost.”
