Below Deck Med Season 5 sure had its shares of ups and downs. The previous episode showed chief stew Hannah Ferrier suffering from a panic attack. Following the emotional episode, Hannah took to social media to share her unique baby shower with fans. She wants to create more awareness for those struggling with mental health disorders.

But she’s not the only one speaking out. Third stew Jessica More is sharing her struggles with anxiety. On Tuesday, August 4, she took to Instagram to share her experience with her followers. Jessica revealed that she empathized with both Hannah and chef Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran. Kiko’s painful firing led to Hannah’s crumbling emotions.

Jessica More shares her experience with anxiety

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Below Deck Med star Jessica More admitted she felt like she was “walking on eggshells” around Captain Sandy Yawn. Viewers accused her of creating a toxic work environment. The crew members couldn’t escape her because she watched their every move.

She especially watched chef Kiko’s performance in the caption, which ultimately lead to his shocking termination. While he was a great chef, his positive spirit couldn’t handle Sandy’s constant micromanaging.

As per Reality Tea, Jessica More shared her experience with anxiety on Instagram. She felt bad for both Hannah and Kiko, who both unraveled because of Sandy.

“Last night’s episode was hard for me to watch everybody loves Kiko & him crying broke my heart,” Jessica wrote. “Then Hannah having a panic attack was just emotionally grueling to see, and brought me to instant tears.”

Jessica supported Hannah for speaking out about her mental health. “It’s brave of Hannah to be open with her struggle with anxiety & I want to thank her for that,” she added. This led Jessica to share her journey. While she didn’t have as many struggles on the show, anxiety is still a part of her life. Jessica has dealt with “severe anxiety for about 7 years.” Like Hannah, she too suffered from panic attacks.

Jessica More recalls the time she had her first panic attack. Like many others who struggle with anxiety, she thought she was “having a heart attack.” But it hasn’t been an easy road since.

“I’ve been struggling on and off ever since,” Jessica continued. “It disappeared out of the blue, returning with a vengeance every day for years. Even though I have tried my best to find methods and coping tools, it’s an everyday battle.”

Jessica wanted to share her story to lessen the taboo associated with mental health. She hopes others will find comfort in her message.

“We all have our battles one of mine just happens to be anxiety,” she said. “I felt the need to make a post because I wanted to bring awareness to this topic and be another voice hopefully help anyone who struggles with this to know that they aren’t alone.”

This comes after Hannah brought attention to mental health problems. As per Reality Tea, she too took to Instagram to share a joyous photo of herself holding her pregnant belly. In her caption, Hannah included a very special message.

“So what you see in this photo is a very happy, smiley, pregnant woman. What you see in tonight’s episode is a very distressed, upset, stressed out and anxiety ridden woman,” the Below Deck Med star wrote. “They are both the same people – just in different situations. As many of you know I suffer from anxiety which can be brought on by many things but tonight’s was brought on by seeing my good friend @hindrigolorran in such pain and being unable to help him.”

In addition, Hannah created a baby registry with the charity, Lifeline Australia, which helps those suffering from mental health issues and creates awareness for suicide. She asked her followers to make a donation if they’re able to.

Below Deck Med airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
