TLC Medical Shows Return With Telehealth Appointments

News, Reality TV, TLC Shows

By now, you have probably heard how popular telehealth services are these days. Even our favorite television doctors are getting on board. PEOPLE reports two of our favorite medical shows on TLC return in September. However, things will look a little different this season.

TLC Wants to Keep Staff and Guests Safe

Dr. Pimple Popper and My Feet Are Killing Me will be back — with a few changes. The shows’ doctors are taking every precaution right now, and this includes offering virtual appointments. Dr. Pimple Popper‘s Dr. Sandra Lee and My Feet Are Killing Me‘s Dr. Ebonie Vincent and Dr. Brad Schaeffer will see patients through video chat. It may not be quite what we envisioned, but at least we can still catch the new episodes on TLC.

But how exactly will this work?

In Dr. Pimple Popper: Before the Pop, Dr. Lee will carefully give the patient directions and ask questions since she can’t be there in person. After the virtual consultation, Dr. Lee will decide whether or not she can help them down the road.

My Feet Are Killing Me: First Steps will take a similar approach. In each episode, Dr. Vincent and Dr. Schaeffer will consult patients on their various foot issues. Dr. Sarah Haller will also join the team this season.

I’m very excited share that TLC announced today through people.com, the premiere of “My Feet Are Killing Me: First Steps” will be on September 10, 2020 10:30pm ET on @TLC. This show will be a slightly different format in that each episode will be 30-minutes and according to people.com “will follow 3 patients as they undergo virtual consultations to begin their journey towards surgeries that will leave their feet radically transformed, and their lives changed forever.” @doctor.haller, (who worked alongside Dr. Bradley last season), teams up with @doctor.bradley and I in First Steps. Make sure and give her a follow. Mark your calendars for September 10th! To watch the sneak peak video, visit people.com and search for #myfeetarekillingme #tlc #drebonievincent #tvshow #realitytv

No one knows exactly how long the pandemic and social distancing orders will last. So for now, we might as well sit back and enjoy our favorite shows however they are.

While you wait, you can always check out the stars’ Instagram pages. Just be aware that the content isn’t always for the faint of heart. They are medical shows, after all. But if you like the content, you should read this recent article we wrote. Dr. Lee removes a cyst from a patient’s face.

When they aren’t showing procedures, the doctors are always ready to answer your fascinating medical questions. Watch this recent video from Dr. Lee:

Make Sure to Tune In

You can catch both of these amazing shows on TLC. Dr. Pimple Popper: Before the Pop will be the first to air. Tune in at 10 PM eastern time on September 3 to catch the newest episodes. My Feet Are Killing Me: First Steps will air at 10:30 pm eastern time on September 10. Let us know what you think after they air.

What are some of your favorite episodes of these two great shows? Let us know in the comments. We are definitely excited to see these shows return. Hopefully, things go back to normal sooner rather than later and the doctors can practice medicine in person.
