‘Bringing Up Bates’: Josie Balka’s Daughter Willow Is One!
On Sunday, July 19, Willow Kristy Balka turned one year old! She’s the daughter of Kelton Balka and Josie Bates of Bringing Up Bates. So, in honor of the little one’s birthday, several family members shared sweet posts dedicated to her.
On Josie’s Instagram page, she shared a series of photos from Willow’s one-year photo shoot. The photos feature her digging into a small birthday cake. In a couple of the photos, she’s wearing a lacy dress, flower crown, and sandals. Josie even made it in a photo with her daughter.
The Bringing Up Bates daughter wishes her baby girl a happy birthday says that she loves her. She also talks about her first year as a mom, writing, “You are the light of our world and this first year of being your mama has been the best year of my life!”
In response, fans of the Bates’ family are leaving sweet comments for the one-year-old.

Proud dad Kelton also dedicated a post to Willow. In his post, he shares a couple of photos of himself and Willow. The last photo is of Willow sticking out her tongue. He gushes over the little one, talking about how happy she makes him.

Bringing Up Bates family celebrates Willow
On social media, several of Josie’s family members wished her daughter a happy birthday. Some of these birthday wishes came in the comments sections of Josie and Kelton’s posts. The Bates family Instagram page, which is run by Kelly Jo Bates, shared a post dedicated to Willow. The picture is of Willow and Kelly Jo together.
In the caption, Kelly Jo talks about how entertaining Willow is. The proud grandma writes, “With you’re cute little expressions and reactions, you’re an absolute ham! I love watching your personality come alive, and no doubt you will be the life of the party cause you certainly have our attention now! I think my favorite ‘trick’ you do is when you laugh and stick out your tongue…. barely one and you’ve already got spunk!”
Willow’s aunt Katie Bates also shared an Instagram post. In the photos, both Willow and Katie are wearing hats. They seem happy together. Katie says, “Your auntie loves you so big!”
