“It definitely changed our lives,” the 24-year-old said. “It forced us to grow up fast. I know I’ve made my fair share of mistakes, and learning how to bounce back and just grow from each mistake, it’s a little bit different because every time we screw up it’s in the public eye.”

Savannah Chrisley felt “pressure to be perfect”

Savannah Chrisley admitted that she felt pressure to be the “perfect” role model. She thought she had to look and act a certain way. Savannah especially felt the pressure when little girls looked up to her.

“Growing up on TV, a lot of people think, ‘Oh that’s amazing,’ but for me, I know there was a lot of pressure to be perfect and to know that mothers are allowing their daughters to follow me on social media and look up to me,” Savannah added. “I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself in order to live this perfect life and not disappoint people.”

The 22-year-old is feeling more at peace. These days, Savannah wants to focus on living for herself rather than worrying about “what people think.” She sees the social media comments and she admits that it hurts. But she credits therapy for helping her.

“I think it takes a lot of strength to go and talk to someone, and that’s been my saving grace throughout this whole thing,” Savannah said. “So, growing up on TV has had its pros and cons, but overall, it’s given us a platform to help others and meet a lot of people. I don’t think we can complain too much.”

Savannah and Chase also teased the upcoming season. They revealed that it’ll be different from seasons past since it addresses their “growth.” In the trailer for Season 8, Savannah and Nic Kerdiles tell patriarch Todd Chrisley that they called their wedding off.

While Savannah and Nic are still dating, she feels they “rushed into things way too fast” and now “want to make sure we’re both in a healthy place.” It could be a result of growing up fast in the public eye.
