‘BIP’ Alum Demi Burnett Shares Slater Davis Relationship Update Following Split
Bachelor Nation has seen a lot of new relationships and also many end amid the coronavirus pandemic. Demi Burnett had been quarantining with boyfriend Slater Davis and his family. She admitted it wasn’t always easy. Then, they actually parted ways after five months of dating. Now, Demi is updating fans on where they stand.
Demi updates fans on her relationship status with Slater
US Weekly shared Demi’s update to her fans on where things stand with Slater. She shared the update on her podcast, Big Demi Energy. She said, “I also — as everyone knows — recently went through my breakup with my boyfriend.” Demi continued, “I guess my ex-boyfriend now, that sucks to say. But yeah, we’ve been talking a lot and we’re really good now.”
Demi went on to share they have been spending time together. They have been laughing and loving life as friends. She said, “We’ve hung out some and he has been wonderful. He’s been really great, we’ve been great together, we’ve probably laughed more in the past couple weeks than we have the past few months. It’s no pressure, friends, hanging out, getting along. It’s definitely put me in a better place, and I’m really happy with where we’re at.”

They broke up in June
It was reported that Demi and Slater broke up in June. They were together five months before their split. Speculation began to surface about their split when fans noticed they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Demi also deleted the many photos she had of him on her page.
She definitely blames quarantine as part of their issue. Previously she had said they were having some issues and bickering while spending so much time together. Demi said when you’re with someone that much it can be toxic and lead to nit-picking. This of course leads to arguments and anger.
There came a point when they started to question each other. This brought trust issues. She said, “That’s something that I definitely learned is that it shouldn’t be so childish to where you just accuse each other of something all the time and you just actually let your guard down, let yourself trust somebody, which is really hard to do.”
Demi had made Bachelor history
Demi made history with the franchise when she got engaged to girlfriend Kristian Haggerty. They were the first same gender couple to unite and commit on the show. The two became engaged on Bachelor in Paradise. However, their relationship didn’t last long. They ultimately split and went separate ways. Following their split, fellow alum Katie Morton introduced Demi to Slater.
